Eben Clark’s house was destroyed by fire circa 1922. It had been closed for the winter. Ruth Carroll Kittredge (1907-2004), later Mrs. Morris Augustus Dolliver, was 15 years old when it burned. “My grandfather woke up one morning with bright light coming in the bedroom window. Ruth’s grandfather was Osborne Milton Kittredge (1844-1928).
